Kiddy Grade

We grow great by dreams ... Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they [flourish]; bring them to the sunshine and light, which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.
--Woodrow Wilson

I missed the debut of Kiddy Grade on Thursday night due to THE ASSHOLES WHO MAKE VIRUSES! MAY THEY ALL BURN IN HELL!!!!! … So I decided to make time to catch the second episode on Friday night.

I found myself wondering what the story was all about and trying to get rid of all my previous assumptions of the anime. Someone, I can’t remember who, told me that the anime was about vampires and robots and monsters and what not. As such, I switched on the television expecting to see fangs and the usual blood flying all over the place thing (ala Hellsing) ... you can guess how o.O was my reaction when I saw the main character whip out lipstick, put it on and proceed to smashing through concrete.
If that was not enough, very skimpy customs (note: very), weird hair colours and funny names got thrown in (eg. Verda, Éclair, etc). By that time, I collected all my initial thoughts of the anime and threw them out the window into the long kang down stairs. The only thing my ‘informant’ was correct about was the robot characteristic.
The robots in the anime, are much like those in the Gundam series. I miss Gundam Wing… *sigh~*… -gets dreamy look thinking about Heero- … Ahem! As I was saying, the robots bare a resemblance to those gundams but they honesty can’t hold a candle to the real thing. -migumi laughter-
I supposed the anime, being a cult one, was created more for the male race than the female one because the bulk of the cast is made up of very bosomy female characters running all over the place in the outfits which I mentioned earlier. I suppose Yong Jet will be very happy with the series… it’s a good replacement for Hellsing. He’s going through Celeste Victoria withdrawal lah~ Buah hahahahaha! XP

Though I still do not really understand the storyline, I think I might continue watching the anime just to try and understand it and maybe pick up a few more drawing techniques…heh~

Spent most of the morning clearing up the table…very messy…now? Its less messy…still got more cleaning to do, but since the main thing has been taken care of I guess I can take my time to get the rest of the stuff done. -chuckles-

ade: "Thanks. Anyway, forgot to call you, but i reminded siya abt it."
